Chess and the battle to survive

We all know them. Those little flasks of potent medicine, it could be antibiotics, antimycotics or antivirals. Their content gets injected in our veins when we are really sick. Then doctors and patients hope for the best, expecting the medicine to kill the pathogens, or at least, keep their growth in-check… But sometimes, the pathogens are one step ahead, they are resistant. So, the treatment can become like a chess game. Who is going to win? From this interesting perspective, I created this chess board and the players are medicine and pathogens. The morphogenic pattern in the chess-board represents the pathogen growth (ex. hyphae, lethal fungi).
