Brazilian “Araras”, also known as macaws in English, are considered very beautiful and precious birds. They are known for their vibrant colors, intelligence, and role in the ecosystem. Many species are threatened due to habitat loss and the illegal pet trade, making their conservation a priority. An interesting Brazilian project reintroduces these birds to Tijuca Park; they will be monitored in a protected location until their final release, scheduled to take place in six months.
